All the candidates standing in Bury council local elections 2021 by ward

Bury's council elections are fast approaching and a third of all seats are set to be decided.

A total of 69 candidates are standing for local positions in the 17 wards which make up the town.

The elections will take place on Thursday, May 6, along with similar votes across the country.

Candidates from the Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrat parties will stand in each ward but are joined by a number of smaller local parties and independents.

Hyperlocal party Radcliffe First will put out candidates for each of Radcliffe's three wards, while the Green Party will also field prospective new councillors in a number of areas.

Victor Hagan will run as an independent in Moorside, while Stephen Morris runs for the English Democrats in Besses and Michael Foran runs for the anti-lockdown Freedom Alliance in Tottington.

There will be two added seats up for grabs this year, with vacated positions in both North Manor and Moorside.
