The TV industry may have handed out its shiny gold statues at the 77th Emmy Awards, but the real competition started after the ceremony: which afterparty had the best food, loosest dancefloor and most unexpected cameo.
Six big bashes dominated the Sunday night schedule — HBO, Netflix, Disney, Apple TV+, the Governors Ball and one thrown by host Nate Bargatze. Winners, nominees and hangers‑on scattered across Los Angeles, and yes, there was both caviar and cheeseburgers.
HBO Max takes a victory lap
HBO had a monster night, nabbing 30 trophies (tied with Netflix at the top), so its party at San Vicente Bungalows turned into a flex. Producer John Wells arrived still clutching The Pitt’s best drama statue, telling reporters he’s “lost plenty” before but was happy to pose for more pics anyway, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Guests rubbed shoulders with David Zaslav, Casey Bloys, and a buzzing Hacks corner where Jean Smart celebrated her repeat win with Hannah Einbinder – plus some impromptu birthday cakes (Smart turned 74 last week, her co-star Meg Stalter hit 35 at midnight).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the food spread veered from caviar to burgers. And because Hollywood apparently has lowjey genius moves, they also handed out HBO‑branded slippers for those who were over their heels.
The vibes really peaked when DJs Doppelganger Paris (yep, identical twins) spun Beyoncé tracks, sending the White Lotus cast, Jason Isaacs, and even K‑pop superstar Lisa onto the floor.

Apple TV+ plays it cool
Apple’s party at Ysabel was pure sleek minimalism compared to HBO’s maximalist buffet. Top dog CEO Tim Cook reportedly floated around congratulating winners from The Studio and Severance, with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Adam Scott among the crowd.
Seen mingling: Patricia Arquette, Chase Sui Wonders, Catherine O’Hara, Sharon Horgan and Gwendoline Christie. Fair to say this one leaned less wild, more “Hollywood chic nightcap”.

Netflix brings in a shoe valet
Netflix kept its six‑win streak alive at Nya West, with Anderson Paak performing live. Stars of Adolescence — Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty included — hit the dance floor, while portrait artists literally sketched guests.
Biggest flex? A shoe valet. Yes, if you wanted to ditch your heels and keep dancing, Netflix had you covered. As for star‑spotting: Colman Domingo, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Awkwafina were all working the room.

Disney brings out the icons
Disney’s takeover of DTLA’s Vibiana meant a huge mix: Only Murders icons Steve Martin and Martin Short, The Bear’s Ebon Moss‑Bachrach, Shogun’s Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai, Abbott Elementary’s entire key cast, plus Jimmy Kimmel for cross‑promotion vibes. Think Avengers: Afterparty Edition.

Nate Bargatze hosts the host’s party
Not content with presenting the ceremony, Nate Bargatze hosted his own bash at Chateau Marmont.
His friends and family setup brought UTA and Brillstein clients together, including Cristin Milioti, Seth Rogen, Sarah Paulson, Chloe Sevigny, Jo Koy and Ted Danson.

The Governors Ball & beyond
The TV Academy’s official Governors Gala provided the first stop for most of the winners straight after the telecast. Nate Bargatze swung by, as did Seth Rogen, Jeff Hiller, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni — who continued their lovely Law & Order: SVU reunion from the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal and FX x Vanity Fair all staged their own side missions, honouring cast members from The Pitt, Abbott Elementary, The Bear and Shōgun.
The Pitt crew even took a party bus together to get to their multiple afterparty spots.
