All the Bank Holiday dates you need to know for 2020

If you've not already started planning for the year ahead then now is a good time to start.

With bank holidays providing a little extra relief from work on top of your holiday entitlement, they can be a good way to eke out a bit more mileage from your time off.

We've compiled a list of all the upcoming bank holidays so you can plan ahead.

The first thing you need to know is how much annual leave you have.

Many of us are fortunate to have a set number of weeks, plus bank holidays.

However, employers can choose to include bank holidays as part of your statutory annual leave, so it is worth checking before booking your holidays for next year.

Of course knowing when the bank holidays are, and planning accordingly, can make things easier, so with that in mind here are the dates you are going to want to remember.

These are the Bank Holiday dates in 2020

Friday, April 10: Good Friday

Monday, April 13: Easter Monday

Friday, May 8: Early May Bank Holiday (For VE day)

Monday, May 25: Spring Bank Holiday

Monday, August 31: Summer Bank Holiday

Friday, December 25: Christmas Day

Monday, December 28: Boxing Day (substitute day)
