All the 50-point games in 49ers regular-season history

The 49ers tossed 51 points on the scoreboard in their Week 8 win over the Panthers. They scored on the ground, through the air, and found a way to score more points than any 49ers team since 2003.

We went back through San Francisco’s history with the Pro Football Reference Play Index Game Finder tool to find all the regular season 50-point outings in team history.

Here they are, starting with the earliest:

Oct. 10, 1948 at Baltimore Colts | 49ers 56, Colts 14

Nov. 11, 1948 at Brooklyn Dodgers | 49ers 63, Dodgers 40

Oct. 9, 1949 vs. Cleveland Browns | 49ers 56, Browns 28

Oct. 16, 1949 vs. Buffalo Bills | 49ers 51, Bills 7

Sept. 19, 1965 vs. Chicago Bears | 49ers 52,  Bears 24

Dec. 8, 1984 vs. Minnesota Vikings | 49ers 51, Vikings 7

Dec. 23, 1991 vs. Chicago Bears | 49ers 52, Bears 14

Oct. 18, 1992 vs. Atlanta Falcons | 49ers 56, Falcons 17

Dec. 19, 1993 at Detroit Lions | 49ers 55, Lions 17

Dec. 4, 1994 vs. Atlanta Falcons | 49ers 50, Falcons 14

Dec. 7, 2003 vs. Arizona Cardinals | 49ers 50, Cardinals 14

Oct. 27, 2019 vs. Carolina Panthers | 49ers 51, Panthers 13

The win Sunday was particularly impressive since San Francisco is working with its fourth and fifth-string offensive tackles, and no fullback – a focal point of their offense.

With a fully healthy squad, and a few bad defenses left on the schedule, the 49ers may threaten 50 again this season.
