All Star Musicals: Jacqueline Jossa's musical talents and 'real' family life

Jacqueline Jossa will be in a line up of celebrities showing off their musical skills in All Star Musicals this weekend.

John Barrowman will be hosting the ITV show as Michaela Strachan, Jacqueline Jossa, Alex Beresford, Lisa George, Colin Salmon and Danny Care perform songs from hit musicals including Hamilton, Les Misérables, Frozen and The Greatest Showman. West End stars Elaine Paige, Samantha Barks and Trevor Dion Nicholas are set to judge their efforts, while the performer who gets the most votes from the studio audience will be crowned the winner.

While Jacqueline is best known for her role as Lauren Branning in BBC's EastEnders, many fans might not be aware that she also has a theatrical and musical background. The soap star graduated from the D&B Theatre School before going on to train at the Royal Academy of Music in London, reported MyLondon.

She didn't have to wait long for her big break and landed the part of Lauren Branning on the soap EastEnders in 2010. She played the role for the best part of eight years and exited the show along with her on-screen sister Lorna Fitzgerald, with her final scenes airing in 2018.

Between 2010 and 2012 she also starred spin-off series Lauren's Diaries which aired 16 episodes on the internet. While acting on the soap she also appeared in comedy panel show Sweat the Small Stuff in 2013.

After leaving the soap, she landed her own reality TV show. Jacqueline's World documented life with her husband Dan Osbourne, her second pregnancy and taking her firstborn to Dubai.

In November 2019 she became a contestant on the 19th series of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of here! She went on to win the show and was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Her posts on social media about mum life also proved popular with fans and she spoke out about body positivity while sharing un-airbrushed photos of her figure. The actress has also had her fair share of heartache and she allegedly split from her husband, with who she shares two girls, Ella and Mia, more than once.

However, the couple are back on track now and recently bought a dog during lockdown.

Although she has managed to fit in a lot of things before 30, a career, children, Instagram fame to name a few, she was not the first person in her family to appear on EastEnders. It was her cousin, Megan Jossa, who first appeared on the soap in 2006 as Courtney Mitchell. She's also opened up a stage school in Bexleyheath, nurturing local talent across the performing arts.
