All schools to open in Andhra Pradesh after August 15

VIJAYAWADA: The state government has decided to reopen all schools after August 15. The decision was taken at a review meeting on Nadu-Nedu in education department by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Tadepalli camp office on Wednesday.

The chief minister told officials to complete two doses of vaccination for all teachers before August 15.

He also told them to organise workbook activities in all schools from July 15 to August 15. He wanted teachers to get in touch with students using work books during this month-long activity.

The meeting also decided on Intermediate marks for students. The students would be given marks based on their marks in the top three subjects in SSC.

The students would get 30% of marks on the basis on their SSC marks.

The remaining 70% would be calculated on the basis of marks secured in Intermediate first year.

As practical exams were already completed, these marks would be added before declaring the results.
