All Saints at Splendour 2019 - review and pictures

Forget this Bootie Call business, the Splendour Festival crowd were ready to get down on one knee and pop the question to All Saints last night (July 20) as they closed the Confetti Stage.

It had been a long seven months and 16 days since the girls were last in our lives when they swung by to play a knock-out set at Rock City - proving to all and sundry they still knew where it was at.

So the pressure was on for them to pull out all the stops and 'mum moves' for their return performance to the city but judging by the word-perfect sing-alongs and enthusiastic hand waving of the mixed-bag audience there was nothing to worry about.

Unlike their Rock City performance the girls' Splendour stint was light on banter with the crowd, a bit of a shame as it was a highlight of their December show but understandable considering the less intimate stage and the fact they were trying to squeeze a back catalogue of bangers into just an hour.

As well as a couple of new-ish song of course they played Never Ever, Under The Bridge and Pure Shores and of course, everyone loved it.

Enough for another date to be put in the diary at least.
