All roads, lanes to Delhi blocked

ROHTAK: Law enforcement agencies have sealed the Delhi-Haryana border in the state’s Bahadurgarh region since Thursday night to stop workers of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) from entering the national capital to hold a protest march against the Centre’s farm laws.

There is also heavy deployment of para-military personnel at the two Delhi Metro stations in Bahadurgarh.

All main roads, unmetalled roads and narrow lanes passing through villages into Delhi have been sealed by Delhi Police to prevent anyone from entering the national capital. Police have been deputed on the Jharodha, Nijampur, Sidhipur village and Johanti state borders. Local commuters said they were not allowed into Delhi. Sanjeet Kumar, a local resident who was travelling from Bahadurgarh to Delhi, said police on duty on the border were asking travellers to return, citing government orders.
