Teamwork and coordination are crucial in Rematch, as trying to dribble past every opponent solo will only get you into trouble. Still, having a few fancy tricks up your sleeve can help you get out of tight spots, outmaneuver defenders, and become a valuable asset to your team. In this guide, you'll find every special move in Rematch and learn how to perform them like a pro!
Rematch Special Moves: Complete list
Unlike in EA FC, you won’t need to scroll through a long list of skill rules or worry about whether your skillers can perform them. In Rematch, every player can perform every special move, as long as you’ve put in the time to master the fundamentals. If you’re new to the game, check out our Rematch Controls guide to build a solid foundation and make learning special moves much easier.
Pull Back

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | Space + S |
Xbox | A + Left Stick backwards |
PlayStation | X + Left Stick backwards |
A simple and effective move, the Pull Back lets you roll the ball back towards you from the opponent's grasp, letting you avoid an incoming tackle in front of you. It's also a good way to maintain position while your teammates get into a better position to receive a pass. If you're feeling cheeky, try using it to bait the goalkeeper into coming off the line, only to ping the ball over him into the net.
Sideways Chop

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | Space + Left stick diagonally (opposite moving direction) |
Xbox | A + Left stick diagonally (opposite moving direction) |
PlayStation | X + Left stick diagonally (opposite moving direction) |
It's not quite as impressive as Ronaldo's chop, but it's deadly when timed correctly. You start off by leading the opposing player one way, and then you unleash the Sideways Chop to quickly change direction and create free space. It works best at the edge of the box, or when you're getting crowded next to the touchline.
Lateral Ball Scoop

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | A/D + Left Ctrl + 2x Space |
Xbox | Left stick left/right + LT + 2x A |
PlayStation | Left stick left/right L2 + 2x X |
The Lateral Ball Scoop is a subtle, but effective side-step that lets you dodge opponent players and move further down the pitch with ease. Pay attention to your surroundings so that you don't get tackled from behind!
Double Side Scoop

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | Left Ctrl + Space |
Xbox | LT + A |
PlayStation | L2 + X |
The Double Side Scoop lets you evade tackles with a quick sideways move, and it also lets you get into a better shooting or passing position. Look both ways before you go through with this special move, and you'll be alright.
Stepover and Push

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | W + Left Ctrl + Space |
Xbox | Left Stick Forward + LT + A |
PlayStation | Left stick forwards + L2 + X |
When the defender thinks you're about to pass the ball or shoot on goal, use the Stepover and Push to move up the pitch in one quick motion. It's also effective against sweeper keepers brave enough to challenge you when you're approaching their goal.
360 Dribble

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | W + Left Ctrl + 2x V |
Xbox | Left stick forward + LT + 2x A |
PlayStation | Left stick forward L2 + 2x X |
When you want to go a little extra distance than the Stepover and Push, the 360 Dribble is your go-to special move. Roll the ball to fly past defenders and shoot for goal!
Ball Juggle

Platform | Controls |
---|---|
PC | Tap C |
Xbox | Tap RB + A |
PlayStation | Tap R1 + X |
A staple move for trickster players, the Ball Juggle consists of spamming the Lob pushball button combo, letting you juggle the ball in the air to change direction quickly. It's like a less fancy Rainbow Flick, but it takes less time to perform and it can be way more effective in crowded areas.
