All Points East 2020: Tame Impala announced as first headliner

Tame Impala have been announced as the first headliner of next summer's All Points East festival.

The Australian rock group will top the bill on Saturday May 23, marking their only UK date of 2020.

They’ll be joined on the day by the likes of Caribou, Glass Animals, Whitney, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Holy F**k.

The festival takes place in Victoria Park from May 22-31. Tickets will be available here from 10am this Friday, November 22.

Tame Impala are also set to release their fourth album next year, with the Slow Rush set to drop in February, their first record since 2015's critically acclaimed Currents.

The band are no stranger to headlining festivals either, having topped the bill on Glastonbury's Other Stage this summer.

All Points East made its debut in 2018, proving popular enough to return this year with headliners The Strokes, Christine and the Queens and The Chemical Brothers.
