Christmas might be gloomier this year, so there's no denying we could all use a boost to our festive spirit.
With that in mind, we asked our readers to share photos of their lovely Christmas trees – and there are some jaw-dropping efforts.
Whether they're real or artificial, wrapped in tinsel or twinkling lights, colourful and Disney-themed or chic and understated, we think every tree is beautiful in its own way.
But we also have to give kudos to the readers who sent in some tongue-in-cheek entries that truly sum up the mood of 2020. And we love the pictures of pet-proofed trees with scunnered cats and dogs sitting nearby.
