All of Celtic's 39 first team players' summer transfer fates revealed - Keep or sell

Celtic face an uncertain summer with a new manager still to be appointed at the Parkhead club.

Neil Lennon is in the running for the full-time position after taking over from Brendan Rodgers as caretaker boss but nothing has been decided yet.

The one thing that is for certain is whoever takes the reins will need to make wholesale changes to the Hoops squad.

Players like Timothy Weah, Oliver Burke, Filip Benkovic and Jeremy Toljan amongst others are all due to return to their parent clubs when their loan deals expire.

There are plenty of free agents in the summer too such as Dedryck Boyata and Mikael Lustig with the defence an area that will definitely need addressed.

So who will the Celts decide to keep, who will be loaned out and who will be sold or released?

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard's first season rated four out of ten by Celtic hero Chris Sutton

We're going to go through every first team player in the Celtic squad and anyone who has made an appearance in the team this season.

Goalkeepers

Scott Bain

The keeper was behind Craig Gordon for the first half of the season but has rightly been promoted to the No1 spot. The Hoops started 2019 with a run of seven consecutive clean sheets and Bain was monumental in achieving that feat. KEEP

The veteran has been a consistent performer for Celtic over the years and despite Bain taking his starting spot, he's the ideal back up for him. KEEP

Dorus De Vries

The 38-year-old's contract runs out in the summer and with only nine appearances for the Hoops, it seems like it's a good time to part ways. RELEASE

Conor Hazard

The Northern Ireland keeper has been getting valuable game-time on loan at Championship side Partick Thistle and will have benefited greatly from it. He's still young at 21 and it would be worthwhile getting him out on another short term deal to help him progress further. LOAN

How Rangers and Celtic's next five fixtures compare and the impact it could have on Premiership title race

Defenders

Kieran Tierney

Rumours will continue to circulate around Celtic's star man but unless a crazy bid comes in for him, this is an easy decision. KEEP

Filip Benkovic

Brendan Rodgers could appease Celtic fans ever-so slightly after his shock departure if Leicester were to loan Benkovic back to Celtic. It's looking unlikely though as the new Foxes boss reportedly slammed the door shut on that possibility. KEEP

Jeremy Toljan

The Dortmund full-back has endured a mixed spell in Glasgow and will return to Signal Iduna Park at the end of the season. But with Celtic in desperate need of a right-back, they could certainly do a lot worse, if he is available on a permanent basis. KEEP

Marvin Compper

The injury-prone defender has been almost invisible since arriving from RB Leipzig and even though the Hoops will have a shortage at the back, they should cut their losses. SELL

Emilio Izaguirre

The left-back has provided solid cover with Tierney on the sidelines at the start of 2019, but showed he was out of his depth in the Europa League tie with Valencia. A free agent in the summer and it would be good to see some younger players get a chance ahead of the Honduran. RELEASE

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard hit with sly dig from Celtic hero Chris Sutton after Scottish Cup exit to Aberdeen

Dedryck Boyata

The Belgian will likely be heading out the exit door, but Celtic should do everything in their power to keep him. He's their best centre-back and replacing him would be a seriously tough task. KEEP

Kristoffer Ajer

The chances are the Hoops will be relying heavily on the Norwegian next season but has the potential to turn into a great centre-half. Celtic will ideally bring in more defenders to lessen his load but he's going nowhere. KEEP

Mikael Lustig

The experienced full-back has not been offered a new deal yet and although he has showed signs of regression, it would make sense to keep him around with Celtic looking very light at the back. RELEASE

Jozo Simunovic

The Croatian hasn't been at his best this year causing the defender to be in and out of the first team. The Hoops face a similar dilemma regarding Lustig, fans would love to see the club upgrade the position but he could be the best they've got. KEEP

Cristian Gamboa

The former West Brom right-back has only made ten appearances for the club over the past two seasons. His Celtic career has not taken off and both parties should go their separate ways with his contract up in the summer. RELEASE

Anthony Ralston

His progression has been badly hampered with injuries in recent times and Hoops fans would enjoy seeing the Scot stay healthy to see what he's capable of. Can be a solid back up on the right hand side. KEEP

Brendan Rodgers compensation fee Leicester paid to Celtic revealed

Jack Hendry

Hendry has really struggled this year and his move from Dundee doesn't seem to have materialised. Celtic shouldn't give up hope on him just yet but needs a short term deal away from Parkhead to regain some much needed confidence. LOAN

Andrew Gutman

The January recruit seems to be one for the future and is on a year's loan at Charlotte Independence back home in the States. Celtic should look to go down that route again when his deal runs out in January to get more minutes under his belt. LOAN

Manny Perez

The full-back arrived on the same day as Gutman and is in a similar boat to his fellow American as he went back across the pond following his new deal. Celtic should keep him loaned out and see what he has to offer. LOAN

Calvin Miller

The pacey 21-year-old returns from Ayr United in the summer but is unlikely to make the step up to the first team. His contract runs out in a year so would be worthwhile sending out again for more playing time. LOAN

Midfielders

Eboue Kouassi

The defensive midfielder is currently out with a cruciate ligament injury but should be back for the start of the season. The Hoops spent just under £3million on the Ivorian and it has been a bad investment so far, Celtic should look to offload him. SELL

Jonny Hayes

The Irishman has been another disappointing signing by Rodgers, but injury has played its part after he broke his leg last season. There's just too many better players in front of him in his position. SELL

Celtic injury news: Neil Lennon provides updates on Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic and Ryan Christie

Ewan Henderson

The youngster was given a chance in the first team and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He's put in a number of impressive displays and hopefully he continues to get more playing time when the new boss takes over. KEEP

Kundai Benyu

The Englishman's move to Celtic just hasn't worked out and has gone out on various loan spells as a result. Still contracted until 2021, he's nowhere near the level of other players in midfield. SELL

Youssouf Mulumbu

A really bizarre signing by Rodgers last summer who proceeded to loan him back out six months later to his former club Kilmarnock. SELL

Tom Rogic

The Aussie has endured a frustrating season, struggling to get into a rhythm with niggling injuries and being away on international duty at the Asian Cup. On his day, he's one of Celtic's best players and should be at the centre of the new boss' plans moving forward. KEEP

Olivier Ntcham

The Frenchman has been a shadow of the player in his debut season but injuries hasn't helped that in fairness. There's been speculation surrounding his future and if a big offer comes to fruition, it would be hard for Celtic to say no. SELL

James Forrest

The winger has been in fine form this season contributing 20 goals and is one of the first names on the teamsheet. Rumours suggest Rodgers would like to reunite with Forrest at Leicester City, but Celtic should keep him at all costs. KEEP

Neil Lennon's 7 mad moments as a manager as he returns to Celtic

Mikey Johnston

He undoubtedly has an endless supply of talent but he's been on the fringes of the team during this campaign. Supporters want to see more of him but a loan spell is realistically the best option for him, needs to be playing week in week out. LOAN

Ryan Christie

The development of Christie is one of the biggest surprises of the season, he essentially revived his Celtic career when it looked all but over. He's now very much a part of the club's plans for the future. KEEP

Scott Sinclair

The Englishman has brought consistency to Celtic's attack with 17 goals so far this term and has been a huge success since joining the club. At 29, there's still a few good years ahead of him. KEEP

Nir Bitton

The Israeli isn't long back from a serious injury but has filled in nicely for Lennon's side with injuries to McGregor and Christie. A versatile player who can play at the back too, wouldn't be the worst thing for Celtic with their defensive issues. KEEP

Lewis Morgan

The former St Mirren man was shipped out on loan to Sunderland to join up with his former boss Jack Ross. Celtic shouldn't give up on him just yet so another loan move would suit both parties. LOAN

Callum McGregor

Celtic's player of the season by quite some distance and the team clearly struggle when he's out the team. Don't let him go anywhere. KEEP

How Celtic's Vakoun Issouf Bayo has been influenced by Jurgen Klopp's style of football and has potential to be like Dembele

Scott Brown

The skipper looked past his best in the first half of the season but has found a new lease of life in recent months. If he continues that form into next season, he'll be an important asset for the club. Rumours of him moving to Australia were put to bed when he signed a new deal. KEEP

Strikers

Leigh Griffiths

The Scotland international remains out with personal issues, but suggested on social media he could be back before the end of the season. The club are giving their full support to the troubled striker and there's no doubt Celtic has missed his eye for goal in the final third. KEEP

Odsonne Edouard

He was Celtic's only recognised striker for the first half of the year and probably doesn't get the credit he deserves for the important goals he's scored. Yes, he has a £9m price tag but he's only 21 and was never meant to log as many minutes as he has done this season. Expect an even better player next year. KEEP

Vakoun Issouf Bayo

With the Hoops light on attacking options, the Ivorian could play an important role next season. It's likely he'll play second fiddle to Edouard but that's exactly what Celtic need. KEEP

Timothy Weah

The American is set to return to PSG after his loan spell ends in the summer but if there is an opportunity to keep him for longer, it's a no brainer. He excites the fans and seems to love the traditions of the club despite his short time at Parkhead. KEEP

Oliver Burke

Like Weah, Burke is set to head back to his parent club and it would be a long shot for Celtic to extend his stay. Fans ideally want players on a permanent basis but if players like Burke are available on a short-term deal, they should at least enquire about it. KEEP
