All Northbound DART trains delayed as gardai deal with man who 'refused to let doors close' at South Dublin Station

There's 20 minute delays for Northbound DART passengers this evening after a man held up a train in South Dublin by refusing to let the doors close.

Gardai had to arrested a man from Shankill DART Station this evening as fed-up passengers waited to try and get to their destinations.

A spokeswoman confirmed to Dublin Live that a man was taken to the station saying the investigation is ongoing.

She said: "Gardai were called to an incident at Shankill Dart station. One man was arrested and taken to Shankill Garda station.

"Investigations ongoing."

All Northbound services operated at a delay of about 20 minutes due to the incident.

Irish Rail said: "Delays up to 20 minutes to Northbound DART services due to earlier on board issue on 15.35 Bray to Howth."

The operator went on to say that they are working to minimise delays as soon as possible.
