All New Leagues in EA FC 26

Leagues have been a major point of contention ever since EA FC 26 was announced. With leagues from all over the world being introduced one by one, fans from around the globe are waiting expectantly for their turn.

Even now, players are still hoping their favourite leagues are added to the game’s full launch. However, let’s talk about the league that’s a new addition to EA FC 26, and a few that are highly awaited by the community.

Liga Profesional De Fútbol (Argentina)

With EA promising over 35+ leagues in EA FC 26, the Argentinian league is the most recent addition to the game. The Argentinian league was not there in EA FC 25, causing a lot of backlash from players. Argentina is home to many great footballers like Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria, and, of course, the legendary Lionel Messi.

EA FC 26 already features several different leagues from countries with less football impact compared to Argentina, so adding one for it only made sense. We’ve got the Liga Azerbaijan and Liga Cyprus. In EA FC 26, we’ll finally have a Liga Argentina as well.

Looking at the Liga Profesional de Fútbol, we have two divisions, the Primera División and the Primera Nacional. There are a total of 30 clubs split between the two divisions, with 15 clubs in each. The top clubs from this league participate in several international and national tournaments, including the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Argentina. The league was officially established in 1891 and has been thriving ever since.

Which League/s Are Rumoured In EA FC 26?

The Argentinian League is the only new league to be officially added to EA FC 26, but there’s another league people are highly anticipating in the final launch. That would be the Liga MX, the Mexican Football League. There are a few different reasons why people are so hyped for the Liga MX to be added to EA FC 26. Note that the Liga MX is not part of the game’s closed beta.

Firstly, the Liga MX is one of the biggest football leagues in North America (since the USA mostly focuses on American Football). It draws a lot of attention from football fans all over North America, making it a prestigious league on the continent.

It has been known to receive more viewers than every other league, except the NFL and MLB. Ranking that high in viewership definitely gives it some merit. Globally, it is the sixth most-attended league in the world, surpassing several top-ranking leagues.

Interestingly enough, Liga MX used to be a part of the EA FC series until 2021. That’s when they signed an exclusive deal with another football game, Konami’s eFootball. But this year, Konami announced that the contract had expired without any renewal, meaning the Liga MX is back on the market. The question hanging in everyone’s mind is whether EA Sports will re-sign with Liga MX or not.

While there’s a lot of community pressure to add the Liga MX back into the game, we’ll just need to wait for the final launch to see whether our assumptions were right or wrong. In the meantime, check out this list of all confirmed leagues in EA FC 26.
