All Love Island stars are FAKING romances, Chris Hughes claims as he brands it 'painful'

Former Love Island star Chris Hughes has hit out at this year's batch of Islanders, accusing them of faking romances to stay in the villa.

The 26-year-old, who appeared on the 2017 series and was coupled up with Olivia Attwood , took to Twitter to blast the Islanders.

He tweeted: "I literally don’t think ANYONE is into ANYONE on this whole show. Thoughts? #lovelsland."

But this sparked anger from furious Amber and Michael fans, who insisted the couple were genuine.

One commented: "Amber and Michael are legit!"

Another agreed, writing: "!!!! are we watching the same show???"

He later retweeted someone's tweet, saying: "Literally no one fancies each other and it’s painfully obvious #LoveIsland."

Yet one fan pointed out: "Maura fancies everyone!"

Chris' own explosive romance with fellow Islander Olivia floundered after they left the villa.

The pair took part in their own ITV2 spin-off 'Crackin' On', but towards the end of filming their relationship collapsed.

But it all turned out well for Chris, who is currently dating Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson and has already hinted that a wedding is on the cards.

Meanwhile some fans were left devastated last night when Joe and Lucie were split up for good during last night's brutal dumping.

Viewers had to either save Joe or Lucie and Anton or Elma, splitting up two couples.

"I think they just split up the most genuine couple. Joes had his haters but i think his feelings are more believable than the rest of them," one tweeted.

*Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2
