On February 10 the iconic neon sign outside Walthamstow Stadium was lit up for the first time since the greyhound track closed in August 2008.

The 1933 greyhound track in Empress Avenue closed due to falling profits and poor attendance, but local craftsman Andy Cook and the L&Q housing association have recently restored the Grade II listed sign to its previous glory.

Now we’d like to see your own photographs and memories of Walthamstow Stadium. Do you have an old snap from when the race track opened its doors back in the 1930s? Maybe you have a fond memory of a particular race during the 75 years the stadium was open for business? Or perhaps you have documented the race track’s demise since it closed its doors for good eight years ago?

Whether it’s an old photograph, a fond memory or a recent image of the iconic stadium sign, share your photographs and memories with us. We’ll feature the most interesting ones on the site.
