Zeds come in different shapes and sizes in Killing Floor 3, and understanding their weak points will help you to eliminate them quite easily.
Ordinary zeds are easy to eliminate, and a headshot should be enough in most cases. As you survive the initial waves, the difficulty cranks up. You'll come across monstrosities doing plenty of damage, and you'll have to target their specific weaknesses.
All Killing Floor 3 Zeds and their weaknesses
Before we deep dive further, know that targeting an undead's weakness isn't necessary. However, doing so will make your life easier by clearing the waves quicker.

Zed | Weaknesses | Weak Points | Best strategies |
---|---|---|---|
Clot | Biological | Head | A single headshot should be enough. They can enrage surrounding zeds, so you should clear them first. |
Crawler Larva | Heat | Head | Very easy to kill. Keep an eye on walls and ceilings (and also at your feet). |
Crawler | Heat | Head | Similar to Crawler Larva. They can eliminate any downed player. |
Cyst | Biological | Head | Keep your distance and land the headshots. The weakest zed in Killing Floor 3. |
Bloat | Cut | Head, Red Pustules | Shoot them in the head to prevent them from exploding on death. Aim for the bile sack when you can to apply more damage. |
Gorefast | Biological | Head | Headshots work best, but it's important to look after your health, as it increases the damage from their charged attacks. |
Husk | Force, Cold | Head, Fuel Tank, Cannon | The easiest way to kill them is to shoot the fuel tank, as it also creates an explosion. They're easy to take down with melee attacks. Interrupt their attacks by shooting the cannon muzzle |
Siren | Heat, Biological | Head, Neck | Cancel their attack by shooting them on the neck, and they're also very susceptible to headshots. |
Fleshpound | Force, Electrical | Head, Chest Core, Back Core | Your first task is to shoot and damage the cores, which will expose their critical parts. You'll also have dodge their attacks well, as their damage receive buffs from rage (which happens if they manage to hit you). |
Impaler | Electrical, Acidic | Head, Forearm Cores, Back Tube Cores, Back Core | Being a boss, it's one of the nastiest enemies to kill. Avoid the blade on its head at all costs. To expose its critical parts, shoot at the three cores. Doing so will disable its abilities, making the Impaler easy for you take down. |
Scrake | Cut, Ballistic, Biological | Head, Chainsaw Engine, Face | If you can't target its head, it's better to hit the chainsaw. Once you manage to break it, you'll expose its critical parts. Next, target its mask, and the Scrake will be severely weaker. You'll need to master sidestepping to dodge its hook from dealing massive damage, which will further enrage it. |
Mire Clot | Cold, Electrical | Head, Stomach | Stronger version of the Clot. Just aim at its belly or head for swift elimination. |
Mire Cyst | Cold, Electrical | Head | Stronger version of the Cyst. Just aim at its head. |
Queen Crawler | Heat, Biological | Head, Inner Mouth, Back Abdomen, Abdomen Scar | This is one of the most dangerous zed inside the entire game as she has the potential to warp herself in the portal. Make sure to focus on its web traps and eggs. Otherwise, your group will be swarmed by her hatchlings. |
Chimera | Force, Cold | Head, Glowing Arm, Chest, and Head Pustules | While ordinary damage won't be too fruitful, lookout for the glowing parts on its body. |
We’re expecting to get more zeds coming our way in future updates. They will be duly updated on the table above. Always remember to coordinate and communicate with your teammates, which will make it easier to eliminate all the undead hordes, and increase the amount of rewards you obtain.
