All jobs lost as Scottish call centre collapses into administration

A CALL centre in Fife has reportedly called in administrators as the firm has collapsed into liquidation with all jobs lost.

VeriCall, based in Kirkcaldy, once had more than 450 employees and specialised in subscription sales, customer service and social media management.

However, according to The Courier, VeriCall, who aimed to “distinguish” themselves from “historic outsourced contact centres” have gone into administration with all jobs being axed from the firm.

Founded in London in 2017, the company secured more than £1 million in public money to move the business headquarters to Fife in 2019.

According to The Courier, VeriCall’s founder, Adam Taylor, claimed the firm had more than 450 workers by 2021 following a lucrative contract with one of the UK’s biggest energy suppliers.

However, the firm’s accounts for June 2023 showed VeriCall employed 78 members of staff with 138 in 2022.

VeriCall’s accounts also show that despite operating in Fife, its registered office was on the Isle of Dogs in London.

CBA Business Solutions has reportedly been appointed as administrator.

VeriCall and CBA Business Solutions have both been approached for comment.
