Surviving the perils and cliffs of PEAK isn’t anyone’s cup of tea. That said, you can pick up a bunch of items to make the game’s inevitable bittersweet challenges a bit less agonizing.
As you climb your way through pretty and dangerous regions with hopes to reach the top, you’ll find several kinds of items—food, gear, and miscellaneous—in the wild and inside Luggages (chests). While you’d ideally want to pick up whatever is useful you come across, unfortunately, your hands only have three slots, and the only backpack you get at the start is limited to four slots.
Knowing all the available items in PEAK and what they do will help you make informed decisions, like which item to pick and which to drop. So, here’s our list.
PEAK item guide – All items, explained
As of our attempts so far, we’ve discovered over 30 items in PEAK, each offering distinct benefits and, sometimes, effects you may not like. Check out what each of them does below.
Note: Our lists of items in PEAK may not be exhaustive. We’ve only listed the items we’ve encountered so far—there’s likely much more to discover. We’ll update the lists as we find more items during our runs.
Food items

Item name | Effect |
---|---|
Big Lollipop | Temporary infinite stamina, followed by sleepiness. |
Energy Drink | Offers a speed and stamina boost, followed by sleepiness. |
Forageable food (Coconut, Mushrooms, Berries, Meat, etc.) | Decreases hunger, better when cooked (Campfire). |
Granola Bar | Offers a boost to stamina as well as curbs hunger. |
Marshmallow | Decreases hunger better than other foods, better when cooked (Campfire). |
Some mushrooms can be poisonous and can leave you with a pesky purple status effect that needs attention. Thank god for healing items, though.
Healing items
Item name | Effect |
---|---|
Antidote | Cures poison status effect. |
Bandage | Patches up your HP over time. |
Cure-All | Heals every status effect (except weight) a player has and recharges stamina. |
Faerie Lantern | Heals players in its radius for limited time. |
Heat Pack | Removes Frostbite. |
Medkit | Fully heals your HP. |
Pandora’s Lunchbox | Three uses, grants a random effect with every use: Food, heal, or an unfavorable effect. |
Remedy Fungus | Heals players in the area of its cloud effects. |
Scout Effigy | Lets you revive a teammate on the go, single use only. |
Once you make sure you have enough healing and food items, you can focus on the exploration bit—and we’ve got items to help you with that too.
Gear
Item name | Effect |
---|---|
Anti-rope cannon | Fires a rope downwards that lets you descend. |
Rope cannon | Fires a rope upwards that lets you ascend. |
Chain cannon | Creates horizontal ropes for climbing. |
Rope spool | Deploys a rope downward. |
Anti-rope spool | Deploys a rope upward. |
Piton | When mounted on a wall, acts as a point for stamina recovery. Gets damaged upon use. |
Portable Stove | Place it at a spot to cook food and cure cold/frozen status effects. Immobile after placed. |
Shelf Shroom | Generates a temporary platform. |
Besides these, PEAK offers some random items—helpful or not—too.
Miscellaneous items
Item name | Effect |
---|---|
Banana peel | Troll item. If you step on it, you slip and take fall damage. The player who uses it suffers the effect too. |
Bing Bong | Plush collectible with no gameplay advantage to offer. |
Bowgun | Fires slowing darts. |
Bugle | Unlocks an achievement and the Winterberry quest. |
Bugle of Friendship | 10-second infinite stamina for the whole team. |
Compass | Use it see which way the “peak” is. |
Cursed skull | Use it to sacrifice yourself and revive nearby teammates, curing them of all ill effects and restoring stamina. |
Flare | Use it during fog for visibility and to keep your teammates informed about your whereabouts. |
Lantern | Lets you light up dark areas and keep yourself and your teammates from freezing. |
Pirate’s Compass | Points to the nearest unaccessed Luggage chest. |
Since there’s a limitation on how much you can carry, I recommend deciding what items to pick very carefully. It gets harder as you progress through early regions and start to close in on the “peak,” so choosing what to fill your hands and backpack with plays a crucial role here.
