All iPhone users warned ahead of next upgrade that could hit battery life

Users of iPhones have been warned ahead of a new iOs update scheduled to be rolled out later this year.

The next update could drain batteries and slow loading speeds.

It is expected to be fully revealed fully in September, with Apple is set to unleash a public beta - a version users can test - in July.

This will allow customers to test out the new system before the official launch, reports Birmingham Live, but taking part in the public beat trial can come with some downsides.

Beta system members have been contacted by Apple with a new update.

Apple said: "As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can take part in shaping Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think."

Concerns over loading speeds and battery life are putting people off from upgrading phones, with new public betas for iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, tvOS 16, HomePod software version 16 and watchOS 9 anticipated.

People have been warned the new changes won't be for everybody.

Some apps may not load, the battery could be drained or your phone may overheat.

There have been complaints previously about the podcast app draining people's batteries after they updated their iOS.
