Hollow Knight Silksong is now available on PC and consoles, and mastering the controls will be key if you want to make steady progress.
The gameplay, while simple at a glance, has a lot of finer components that are key to your success. If you're playing on a console, the only option is your controller. If you're on PC, you can go with either your controller or your keyboard.

How to change controls in Hollow Knight Silksong?
Whether you're playing with a keyboard or controller, you can change the settings quite easily.
- If you're on your keyboard, click on the control you want to change. Press the new button, and it will override the default settings.
- If you're using a controller, you can remap the default bindings to something that suits your preferred layout. You can change most of the controls the way you want, so there are minimal restrictions.
For those using a controller on PC, you use your PS5/Xbox controllers, as either works well and has full compatibility. This also works if you're not using the Steam version and instead playing on PC using the Game Pass.
Personally, I prefer playing with my controller as it feels smoother and easier to manage the combat.
