All Gavin James drive-in gigs cancelled due to Government guidelines

All of Gavin James' drive-in gigs have been cancelled due to Government guidelines.

The singer and his promoters announced the decision this afternoon, with all fans set to get full discounts.

The singer said in a statement: "Just getting my head around this….but we have been advised that all of the Drive In shows can no longer proceed due to government guidelines.

"We have looked at all options and have sought out support and advice from the Government, unfortunately with continuing changes with COVID procedures we can not confirm any alternate dates.

"After months of work, planning to try to bring some live music and jobs back this summer, we are all devastated, full refunds are available at your point of purchase."

The Dubliner was to headline the concerts in Limerick, Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny from July 24.

A spokesperson for the event added: "Unfortunately, we have been advised that all Live at The Drive-In shows can no longer proceed due to government guidelines.

"We are very disappointed with this decision, the live music, arts and events sector is on its knees, we would appeal to the government to support this sector and all of it's to workers and suppliers."
