All Covid restrictions in Scotland will be lifted from Monday, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said, as Omicron eases across the nation.
Scots will be able to meet as many of their loved ones indoors, meet people outside without socially distancing and order drinks at the bar.
Ms Sturgeon said cases in Scotland are continuing to fall and the wave of Omicron is "receding".
It comes as the limit on outdoor events was lifted yesterday, allowing many sporting events to take place across the country.
Nightclubs will also be able to reopen, having been closed since December 27.
Among lifted measures, indoor contact sports will be able to resume as normal and Scots will be able to meet their loved ones indoors.
Ms Sturgeon still urges people to take lateral flows before socialising and keep their social contacts as minimal as possible even after restrictions are lifted next week.
While hospitalisations have increased "by a small amount" in the last week, Ms Sturgeon urged Scots to remain cautious.
She said: "We do need to recognise that there are still some uncertainties ahead, and so throwing all caution to the wind would be a mistake."
"Given the improving situation - and as I said last week we hoped to be able to do - I can confirm today that all of these measures will be lifted from next Monday, 24 January," she added.
The First Minister said: “The full impact of the return to work and school after the festive break won’t be apparent yet in the data.
“So it is possible that we will see case numbers tick up again in the next couple of weeks.”
