Ever wonder what your favourite WWE superstars go through during iconic matches? Or what their careers would look like if they made different choices? Sadly, we’ll never know, right? Not anymore. WWE 2K26 is back with its Showcase Mode, this time featuring a superstar with over a decade-long career, CM Punk.
The ‘Best in the World’ wrestler has the spotlight in this iteration of WWE 2K as players go down memory lane, playing iconic matches throughout his career. From his first Summerslam match in 2008 to his exhilarating Triple Threat match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. But that’s not all Showcase Mode has to offer. Let’s take a look at all the confirmed Showcase Matches so far in WWE 2K26.

These are all the iconic matches you can play throughout CM Punk’s career. But what about matches that never took place? Can you still simulate those? Yes. WWE 2K26 Showcase expands its borders to include matches that never took place as well. These are called Fantasy Warfare.
List Of Fantasy Warfare Matches
Fantasy Warfare is a comparatively newer feature, so it’ll take time to add in new matches. However, we already have three matches geared up for players to try out:
- CM Punk vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
- CM Punk vs Eddie Guerrero
- CM Punk & AJ Lee vs The Miz & Maryse
These matches never officially took place, but were teased enough for 2K to give the people what they wanted. Play it out and see what conclusion you come to.
The last bit of news I have related to CM Punk’s showcase matches is a new mode called ‘What If’ Matches. Now, if you’re someone who wished CM Punk’s career had taken a different direction, this might be the perfect mode for you.
However, we don’t have a lot of information on this one as of yet, so we’ll have to wait until 2K decides to disclose more. All I know for now is that players will be able to rewrite history and choose the ending they wish their favourite superstar had.
