A transport management and logistics specialist has been restructured.
Leicester-based 3T Logistics specialises in global transport management technology and is one of Europe’s biggest independent fourth-party logistics providers.
It has been split into two companies, 3T Logistics and 3T Technology, which will be part of the newly formed 3T Logistics and Technology Group.
Management say the restructuring will give each unit the “focus and flexibility” to grow and better service its customers.
Steve Twydell, 3T founder and chairman said: “This new business structure will enable 3T to grow and provide customers with a sharper and more reactive set of service offerings.
“It’s part of our strategic vision to meet future challenges in the ever-changing transportation industry.”
3T managing director Tim Fawkes said the new group would continue to build on the recognition it had built from both customers and the logistics industry.
He said: “This has been a difficult time for business due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we want to be a leading part of the economic recovery that the global economy needs.
“Despite the damaging effects of the pandemic, we have been able to continue supporting our global customers and we have recently attracted new ones as we push on with developing our service offering.”
3T Logistics and Technology Group has also just launched a new website (www.3t-ltg.com) as part of the rebranding.
The site offers customers detailed insights into the new groups’ services, along with case studies and information related to alternative transport management solutions for businesses operating in a pandemic-hit economy.
