All candidates for U.S. House Texas District 18 Republican primary complete Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey

Both of the candidates running in the March 5, 2024, Republican primary for Texas’ 18th Congressional District — Lana Centonze (R) and Aaron Hermes (R) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Here are the candidates’ responses to the question: What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Centonze:

“I am passionate about securing our borders. If our borders were secure and our laws were being implemented, then we would have a better America. I am also passionate about rebuilding our economy by Investing in small businesses, protecting the family unit, and ending Human Trafficking.”

Hermes:

“Human Rights and how they intersect with every policy is what I’m most passionate about.

These are some specific areas of interest:

1) Protecting the border

2) Combatting human trafficking

3) Election integrity

4) Food, air & water safety

5) Medical freedom.”

Click on the candidates’ profile pages below to read their full responses to this and other questions.

We ask all federal, state, and local candidates with profiles on Ballotpedia to complete a survey and share what motivates them on political and personal levels. Ask the candidates in your area to fill out the survey.
