All B&M stores will be closed on New Year's Day to 'give staff a rest'

Retail giant B&M has announced all of its stores will be closed on New Year's Day - to give staff a rest.

December often proves the busiest time of the year for retailers across the country with many extending their opening hours to allow for late night shopping.

Calls have also been made nationally for stores to shut on Boxing Day as well this year.

Making the announcement in a Facebook post, B&M said: "To give our colleagues a well-deserved rest, all B&M stores will be closed on January 1st #NewYearsDay.

"We hope 2021 is a great year for all of our colleagues, their families and all B&M shoppers. Thank you!"

B&M has a range of stores across Nottinghamshire including sites in Lady Bay retail par, Nottingham's Castle retail park, Arnold, Beeston, Bulwell, Clifton and Hucknall.
