All About Eve with Gillian Anderson and Lily James will be broadcast to cinemas around the world

The West End production of All About Eve is to be broadcast live from the Noel Coward Theatre.

Viewers will be able to see the highly anticipated show, which stars Gillian Anderson and Lily James, at cinemas across the UK and internationally on April 11 with National Theatre Live.

The story, based on the iconic 1950 film of the same name starring Bette Davis, follows an acting legend Margo Channing and her number one fan Eve, who infiltrates Margo’s inner circle in pursuit of the spotlight.

Ivo Van Hove directs this world premiere adaptation, which has original music composed by PJ Harvey, set and lighting from Jan Versweyveld, costume design from An D’Huys and sound design from Tom Gibbons.

The cast is completed by Monica Dolan, Ian Drysdale, Tsion Habte, Jessie Mei Li, Julian Ovenden, Sheila Reid, Rhashan Stone, Stanley Townsend and Philip Voyzey.

NT Live screens to 2,500 venues across 65 countries, including 700 cinemas in the UK. Visit ntlive.nationaltheatre.org.uk to find your nearest participating cinema.

All About Eve runs February 2-May 11 at the Noel Coward Theatre.
