All-rounder Indian cricketer and IPL sensation, Deepak Chahar got married to his longtime girlfriend and fiance Jaya Bhardwaj in an intimate ceremony held at in Agra on 1 June, 2022. The Chennai Super Kings' player Chahar shared the good news with the whole world by posting his first wedding picture on his Instagram account.

"When I met you first time I felt that you are the one ☝️ and I was right . We have enjoyed every moment of our life together and I promise you to keep you always happy like this 🤗. One of the best moment of my life 😊. Everyone pls give your blessings to us 🙏😊", Chahar wrote in the caption alongside the picture.

Soon after Bhardwaj also shared an almost identical picture. The beautiful pictures have both the bride and groom looking perfect in their respective wedding ensembles. As mentioned by the duo, the breathtaking wedding outfits were designed by none other than India's ace fashion designer, Manish Malhotra. While Bhardwaj was seen wearing an intricately done, heavily-embroidered caramel-hued dreamy lehenga, Chahar wore an off-white sherwani along with a matching turban. The bride accessorised her look with diamond and emerald jewellery, Chahar finished off his look with a traditional green stoned haar and a kalgi on his turban.

Chahar's cousin, Rahul Chahar also took to Instagram to share a picture from the wedding, alongside the caption, "Happy married life you two... Soooo happy for you and all the good wishes .. wishing you an amazing married life. Loads of Love ❤️"

During IPL in Dubai last year, Chahar's theatrical proposal to Bhardwaj had gone viral on social media platforms, as he was seen placing the ring on Bhardwaj's finger, who was in the stands, followed by a warm hug. The Chennai Super Kings all-rounder had pulled off the surprising act after CSK had lost to PBKS in that following match in IPL 2021.

The Indian cricketer is nursing a back injury right now that had ruled him out of the entire IPL of this year. The right-handed batter and pacer had hurt his back in the T20 series against the West Indies and has been since spending months at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru working on his well-being and recovery.
