All 15 series of ER are coming to All 4 to mark show's 25th anniversary

ER will be available to stream in full on All 4 to mark the hit medical drama's 25th anniversary.

All 15 series of the show that made stars of George Clooney and Julianna Margulies will landing on Channel 4's streaming platform throughout the autumn.

The show, which won 23 Primetime Emmy Awards, was the second longest-running primetime medical drama in American television history behind Grey's Anatomy, and the 5th longest medical drama across the globe, coming behind BBC's Casualty and Holby City.

Exactly 25 years after its first episode aired in the USA, season one will be available from Thursday September 18 with new seasons added every Friday thereafter.

Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor for All 4, said: ”We’re delighted to be bringing ER home to 4. One of the TV greats, the series remains every bit as impactful in the era of binge-viewing”.

The medical drama was created by novelist and medical doctor Michael Crichton and aired on NBC from September 19, 1994, to April 2, 2009, with a total of 331 episodes

The first season features an episode directed by Quentin Tarantino, fresh from the success of his cult hit Pulp Fiction.

Clooney was nominated for three Golden Globes and two Emmys for Best Actor for his role in the drama.

The series also made stars of Julianna Margulies, Mekhi Phiffer and Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston.

Guest stars across the course of its run include Zac Efron, Chris Pine, Stanley Tucci, Shia LaBeouf, and Bradley Whitford.
