Alix Earle has just lived through every girl’s worst nightmare, opening up on TikTok about a recent night in Miami that didn’t quite go to plan after she bumped into ex-boyfriend Braxton Berrios.
The pair, who split in December 2025 after around two and a half years together, are still on good terms. And, at least initially, everything was chill for a moment.
“I saw my ex tonight, but we’re on good terms, so it was like, normal and fine,” the TikToker said. “We were joking around with each other with someone that we are both friends with.”
At one point, they were even taking photos together. Earle recalled, “It was funny and fun, and then it wasn’t.”
Nothing dramatic actually happened, but the mood changed. Earle explained that after their interaction, she couldn’t help but keep looking for him around the room. “It kept turning into me looking around the place the whole night, being like, ‘Hmm, where is he?’ I think that really sucked,” she explained.
“It’s hard when you see someone for a second and it’s fun and normal… but that’s just a dose of it. That’s done. That started to hit me.”
Even though she tried to push through the night with her friends, it didn’t quite stick.
“And crying, I was,” she admitted, adding, “But sometimes, you just can’t help it. Sometimes you’re just a girl and sometimes water just falls out of your eyes and sometimes that happens and it’s OK.”
Eventually, she did what a lot of people would do in that situation. “So I did the responsible thing and called myself a car home and cried to my dog… but I’m fine.”
I’ve definitely gone the more get ‘drunk and miss-call him a bunch of times’ route in the past, but each to their own!
It also comes at a time where Alix has been going through a lot as she has been caught up in ongoing chatter about a supposed rift with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper. A mystery feud that’s been teased online to potentially be about Alix’s former podcast on the Unwell Network, but not fully explained, with fans speculating it could play out in her upcoming Netflix reality series. No one involved has properly unpacked it just yet, but it’s added a bit of background noise to an already very public few months.
This isn’t the first time Earle and Berrios have crossed paths since their breakup. Just last month, they were spotted chatting at a Miami F1 party, with Earle later explaining she approached him first to avoid any awkward hovering.
“I didn’t want to be awkward, lingering around, so I just ripped the Band Aid off and was like, ‘I’m gonna go up and say hi’,” she said.
Still, as she’s said before, being on good terms doesn’t make it easy. “It’s weird when you go from someone being like your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room… so that was tough. And by tough, I mean terrible.”
