Alister Jack MP - A correction

On January 15 2023, the Sunday Mail and Daily Record carried a story about the Secretary of State for Scotland, Alister Jack MP being a major shareholder of Rebel One Ltd, a company that received £2m from the UK’s Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme.

We are happy to clarify that Mr Jack holds less than one per cent of the issued voting share capital of the company and has no control over or role in the management of the company, or any role in the decision-making process for the Coronavirus loan.

We apologise to Mr Jack MP for the publication of the misleading article and headline.
