Alistair Johnston in Jota Celtic wind-up with savage response to Benfica transfer question

Alistair Johnston couldn't resit a cheeky pop at Celtic pal Jota as part of a club TV quiz.

The Hoops duo were joined on the official club clip by team-mate Carl Starfelt as they answered numerous questions as part of the hilarious teaser video for the Celtic View podcast. The wide-ranging quiz tested the knowledge of trio with it kicking off with Johnston being asked the one club he registerd an assist against so far this season - he wrongly answered with Hearts.

The presenter than asked the question: "Where did Celtic sign Jota from?"

Ange Postecoglou's January recruit then turned towards his team-mate with a cheeky smile on his face and replied: "Bench-fica."

Jota wasn't having it and responded: “Respect Benfica, say it right. C’mon. Sport Lisboa e Benfica.”

Johnston has fitted in seamlessly since his arrival following his World Cup exploits with Canada. Postecoglou moved quickly to snap up the full-back from CF Montreal with talk over a Josip Juranovic transfer in overdrive following his own stunning run in Qatar.

The defender did move on to Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin but he's not been a big miss due to the form and quick settling in from the 24-year-old. Since his arrival he has featured in 18 games and found his first goal against St Mirren.

He quickly won his first piece of silverware in his career with victory over Rangers in the League Cup Final and has since added a Scottish Premiership medal. A Scottish Cup one could follow in a matter of weeks with the Hoops heavy favourites to defeat Inverness at Hampden.
