Alisson shares special message after return to Liverpool training and Adrian responds

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson returned to training with the first team this week after a two-month injury lay-off.

The Brazil international sustained a muscle injury during the Reds opening game of the season against Norwich in August.

Since then Alisson has been placed on a special training regime in order to bring him back to full fitness.

And on Tuesday the shot-stopper was all smiles as he returned to training with his team-mates for the first time.

The 27-year-old took to social media to mark his long-awaited return.

Alisson shared some pictures from the session to Instagram and added the caption: "Happy to be back!!!"

Adrian, who has stepped up in the Brazilian's absence by helping Jurgen Klopp's side notch eight Premier League wins in a row, sent a message of support to his team-mate.

The Super Cup winning hero wrote: "Welcome back".

Klopp is likely to issue an update in his press conference on Friday as to whether Alisson will return to the starting line-up for Liverpool's encounter with Manchester United this weekend.

The Reds take on their bitter rivals at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
