Alisson's message to Liverpool as Reds confirm when key trio will return to club

Liverpool have confirmed when key trio Alisson, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah will return to the club to begin pre-season training.

And it seems as though the Brazilian goalkeeper can't wait to get started.

All three were in action for their countries in their home nations this summer, with Alisson and Firmino playing for hosts Brazil at the Copa America, and Salah in action for Egypt as they hosted the Africa Nations Cup.

It was only the Brazilian duo for whom everything went to plan though, as the pair played key roles in the Selecao's first South American championship victory since 2007.

Alisson only conceded one goal at the tournament - a penalty in the 3-1 victory over Peru in the final - while Firmino scored twice as the home side lifted the trophy.

Things were a bit different for Salah though, as favourites Egypt crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations with a shock 1-0 defeat to South Africa in the last-16.

Salah and the Brazilian duo will now report to Evian on Monday for Liverpool's pre-season training camp in eastern France, where the squad will head after Sunday's friendly against Italian side Napoli at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, the home of the Scotland rugby union team.

Liverpool beat Napoli 1-0 at Anfield in a crucial group stage victory in last season's Champions League, with the win only possible thanks to a fine last-gasp save from Alisson.

And Liverpool's official Twitter acount made a reference to the stop in a tweet posted on Saturday, it was spotted by the goalkeeper, who responded with a simple tweet showing just how much he was ready to return to the fold.

The trio will train with the squad from Monday, although it remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp will consider them for selection in Wednesday's friendly against Lyon in Geneva.
