Alisson's emotional interview after Liverpool winner that you didn't see

Alisson Becker was understandably the talk of the town after becoming the most unlikely of match-winners for Liverpool on Sunday.

The goalkeeper headed home a stoppage-time corner against West Brom to help keep the Reds ' top four hopes alive.

Having endured a challenging season in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, following the tragic passing of his father in February, the Brazilian gave an emotional interview to Sky Sports after the game as he thanked the footballing world for the support they have shown him in recent months.

However, that wasn't the only post-match interview the 28-year-old conducted with Alisson also speaking to Brazilian media after the game at the Hawthorns.

Speaking to ESPN Brasil, cited by Sport Witness, the shot-stopper sent a touching message back to his family in his homeland, having been unable to see them due to travel restrictions.

"Man, there’s no way to explain it in words," he said. "This goal meant so much for me, at this very difficult time in my life, in the life of my family.

"And being able to dedicate a goal to my father. I wish he had seen it in person. I don’t know if he’s seeing or if he’s not. I believe he’s next to God.

"And if he saw that, he certainly celebrated a lot. And I dedicate this moment to him and my family.

"My mom is being very strong. I am far from my family, so I’m crazy to hug her, so crazy hug my brother.

"And to be able to feel their love and also, at this moment, and give them love too."

Alisson was interviewed alongside Brazilian commentator Paulo Andrade, who went viral for his reaction to the goalkeeper's winner.

And he revealed Andrade's commentary meant a lot to him and captured the moment perfectly.

"I think the commentary said it very well. This commentary touched me a lot," he said.

"He managed to fully express the feeling, both in his voice, with everything.

"It reflected very well, Paulo, for sure. Technique is sometimes not everything. It is the moment, it is the feeling, you put it all on. I’m like this on the pitch, I deliver myself entirely there.."
