Alisson Becker is adamant the right decision was made to overturn Atletico Madrid's penalty as he hailed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as a "maestro" for his half-time teamtalk.
The Reds extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 21 games - their best such run in more than 32 years - with a dramatic 3-2 Champions League win at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night.
Mohamed Salah struck the winner from a penalty with 12 minutes remaining, although Atletico were awarded a spot kick of their own minutes later when referee Daniel Siebert ruled substitute Diogo Jota had fouled Jose Gimenez.
However, after consultation with VAR, the decision was reversed, much to the fury of Atletico boss Diego Simeone.
But Alisson said: "I was quite sure that it was not a penalty.

"I have good vision from the moment and I went straight to the referee to tell him because sometimes the referee doesn't have a good (view).
"I think the VAR checked it really good, in a good way – this is my point of view. You have the images, you can know better and the referee made a good decision.
"It was not easy, there was a lot of pressure from the supporters, from the opponent as well but I think it was the right decision."
Liverpool had raced into a 2-0 lead inside 13 minutes through goals from Salah and Naby Keita only for Atletico forward Antoine Griezmann to score twice before the interval.
Griezmann was then sent off for a high boot on Roberto Firmino shortly after a half-time period in which Klopp introduced Fabinho for Keita.
And Alisson believes the changes and words of the Liverpool boss helped his team eke out the Reds' first win away to Spanish opposition in more than 12 years and move five points clear at the top of Group B.

"I believe the boss is a maestro in talking in the right moments, the right things," said the goalkeeper.
"I think he brought us in the game again in the changing room and also our attitude changed a little bit in the second half.
"It is not easy when you are 2-0 up and then you concede a goal and you know that it will be hard. We came here, we knew that it wouldn’t be easy to play against Atletico and the game shows it for everyone, for us and for everybody who watched the game.
"So, I'm happy that we could score the third goal and don't concede anymore and control more the situations, but there is a gap to improve as well when we have one player more than them on the pitch.
"You must create more chances but, as I said, it is not easy when they park the bus in front of the goal. We are happy for the three points."
