Alisson has spoken to Flamengo players on Whatsapp ahead of Club World Cup final against Liverpool

Alisson revealed has has spoken to his friends in the Flamengo team about the Club World Cup as Liverpool get set to face the Brazilian giants in the competition's showpiece.

The Reds goalkeeper explained that he and former Chelsea defender Filipe Luis, who now plays for the Copa Libertadores champions, have shared messages over Whatsapp.

The Brazilian shot-stopper said he has also spoken to Flamengo midfielder Gerson , who he played with at Roma between 2016 and 2018, as the two sides get set to meet in the Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday night in a big to claim the trophy.

"I spoke to Luis Filipe and we talked about the Al-Hilal match, especially as they played against Monterreery.

"Luis Filipe is very close to me and we text each other via Whatsapp and also Gerson from Flamengo.

"So it's important an important match for me and my team to play against such a big and important team as Flamengo.

"The clubs differ in terms of style, the Mexican team played a very tough match but we didn't play the best, however tomorrow we will exert all effort and spare no effort against Flamengo.

"Again, Flamengo is a famous big team and has players that have participated in many international competitions.

"They are used to playing in big competitions and reaching the final.

"I hope tomorrow's match will be interesting and enjoyable. I hope we win the title but the most important thing for fans is to see the excitement and to enjoy the match."
