Alisson Becker scares Jurgen Klopp, Mohamed Salah gets upset and other Liverpool moments missed vs Cardiff

Liverpool moved back to the top of the Premier League table with a hard-earned win at Cardiff City on Sunday.

Gini Wijnaldum blasted the Reds into the lead shortly before the hour and James Milner struck a penalty nine minutes from time to secure a 2-0 triumph.

The result meant Jurgen Klopp's side are once again two points clear of Manchester City at the summit having played a game more.

But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Alisson gives Klopp kittens

Alisson Becker was a composed presence between the sticks once again for Liverpool at the weekend.

A 19th clean sheet of the season means he is now two clear of Manchester City's Ederson in the race for the Premier League Golden Gloves award.

But the Brazilian couldn't resist, midway through the second half, dropping his shoulder and moving away from an oncoming attacker before playing the ball forward.

Klopp, watching on the touchline, momentarily put his hands to his head aghast before the danger was cleared. He was just keeping you on your toes, Jurgen.

Salah has a grumble

Mohamed Salah wants to be the Premier League's top scorer again. He REALLY wants it.

So when he was rightly awarded a penalty after being manhandled by Cardiff City skipper Sean Morrison, Salah eagerly grabbed the ball - only for James Milner to remind the Egyptian who the first-choice penalty taker is.

Salah, after a bit of mild resistance, passed the ball to his team-mate, who made no mistake from the spot to seal Liverpool's win.

The forward didn't look too chuffed in the immediate aftermath. Goals, evidently, mean a lot to him.

Cardiff fans couldn't be faulted for the rousing backing they gave their team. Especially the guy who was wearing a Lego head throughout the match.

Given the lack of reaction from those around him, this is clearly a regular occurrence.

Anyway, Cardiff boss Neil Warnock's ongoing displeasure at decisions against his team came to a head with the penalty for Salah, even though it appeared pretty nailed-on.

And the home fans were also unimpressed. "Premier League, is f***ing s**t," they sang. Given Cardiff's precarious position in the relegation zone, it may not be a concern for much longer.
