Alisson Becker injury 'not good' as Jurgen Klopp fears layoff for Liverpool goalkeeper

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker looks set for a spell on the sidelines after manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that the injury he picked up in Friday’s win over Norwich is “not good”.

The Reds got their Premier League campaign off to the ideal start with a comfortable 4-1 victory over the newly promoted Canaries at Anfield.

However, it came at a price, as Brazilian stopper Alisson, one of their star performers last season, was forced off injured after slipping while taking a goal-kick midway through the first half.

He was able to leave the field unaided, but had to be replaced by Adrian, the Spanish goalkeeper who was signed on a free transfer this summer after being released by West Ham.

"With Alisson it is not good but we will find a solution and move on,” Klopp told the BBC. "He felt his calf. He looked behind him because he thought something hit him.

"But Adrian is a good goalie. In possession he is calm and he is good at shot-stopping, that's why we signed him. It's good for him but we have a little problem with Ali."
