Alison Hammond told she's a 'different woman' as she continues ITV This Morning stint

Fans have been left bowled over by Alison Hammond as she returned to This Morning. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (April 5) alongside co-host Dermot O'Leary as the programme's usual Friday hosts take over for a couple of weeks.

Alison, 48, and Dermot, 49, will be at the forefront of the ITV daytime show for the next two weeks as Holly Willoughby, 42, and Phillip Schofield, 61, enjoy their usual Easter break. During the latest show, Alison and Dermot were kept busy as they steered another jam-packed show with celebrity guests and the show's usual segments.

The duo were joined live in the studio by singer Alexandra Burke, who announced this week that she's pregnant with her second child, as she opened up about her secret battle with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) while pawnbroker Dan Hatfield was on hand to value toybox treasures and Rustie Lee was whipping up Caribbean jerk chicken kebabs in the kitchen.

But all eyes were actually on Alison. The new Great British Bake Off host, who shot to fame after appearing on Big Brother in 2002, brought a pop of coloured to the studio as she paired a pair of classic black trousers with a cobalt blue top which she wore under long-sleeved floral shirt.

@Auntie_Dana tweeted: "Is @AlisonHammond getting younger by the day?! I mean she looked lovely before, but she looks like a different women from the intro. She looks like a younger relative to herself previously. Gorgeous #ThisMorning." @clairef8 shared: "@AlisonHammond you look so lovely today! Glowing!"

@crookie1481 commented: "I haven't watched @thismorning for over a year, but omg @AlisonHammond doesn't she look amazing." And fans were also asking for Alison and Dermot to be kept fronting the show permanently.

@FryGilly said: "Absolutely love @AlisonHammond and @radioleary on @thismorning!! Please keep them! #ThisMorning." @mrjordanjames_ added: "Been an absolute joy to watch @AlisonHammond and @radioleary on #ThisMorning this week. - So much joy and proper laughs - a breath of fresh air."

Alison and Dermot continued their hosting stint on This Morning (ITV)

Alison's appearance on the show this week comes after she spent time with co-star Holly away from the TV cameras after she finally joined the blonde beauty's 'girl gang'. It came after she hit the headlines over the weekend as the mum-of-one is said to be distraught after a 'blackmailer' demanded money or they'd 'end her career'.

It has been claimed that Alison had already purchased a BMW car, worth an estimated £5,000, after the unidentified man threatened to "ruin" her. The man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is alleged to have blackmailed the mum-of-one over a period of eight months and West Midlands Police are now involved.

Taking to Instagram at the end of last month, Alison shared a snap of herself, Holly, and Holly's 'girl gang' which she said was 'needed'. She could be seen smiling alongside Spice Girl Emma Bunton, All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, Shiarra Bell, who is head of artist relations at Universal Music and wife of Ride rocker Andy Bell, and PR guru Niki de Metz.

"Girl therapy night! Needed that@hollywilloughby @emmaleebunton @shishib," Alison captioned the post with Holly's older sister, Kelly Willoughby, among the first to respond. She said: "Ahhhhhhh. Always a healer. You’ve got this. Thanks for the fun."
