Alison Hammond takes part in disgusting Bushtucker Trial with brussel sprout ketchup

Alison Hammond took part in a disgusting Bushtucker Trial on today's This Morning - featuring brussel sprout ketchup.

The popular presenter, who had a stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle back in 2010, took part in a festive challenge.

Alison got a shock when presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed she would be blindfolded before guessing what was in her mouth.

Phil explained: "We're going to make Alison taste some of the more unusual Christmas foods this year."

Worried Alison said: "Im excited. Dinner time. It's horrible when you can't see it."

Holly stood up and started feeding Alison with a spoon full of the delicious treats - starting with brussel sprout ketchup.

Trying to guess what it was, Alison said: "It's very sweet, it's nice, right. That tastes like Christmas dinner . Is that sprouts? It's like liquid sports."

Admitting she quite liked the sauce and would use it with crisps, she added: "That's alright you know, that could work."

The second festive food was elf ice cream, which was coloured green and white.

Alison said: "That just feels like a nice creamy raspberry flavour. It didn’t taste very elfy. Is it healthy though?"

Her final dish was goat's cheese popcorn, so Holly picked up a piece with her fingers to place in Alison's mouth.

A ranger brought out the dishes (ITV)

Blindfolded Alison nearly knocked over the ranger when by trying to feel for her.

Alison admitted: "That is a really weird taste. It's pleasant. It's familiar. Is it like beef? Cheesy beef? Goaty cheesy beef?

Once it was all over, beaming Alison added: "What a lovely trial."
