Alison Hammond admitted that she was head over heels for one of her true loves and he even previously ‘proposed’ to her.
The 45-year-old presenter, who has currently enlisted the help of the Celebs Go Dating specialists, couldn’t conceal her previous obsession with Corrie actor Oliver Mellor, 39.
The pair were starring in a rendition of Beauty and the Beast back in 2012.
Although Oliver ‘proposed’ to her every evening whilst starring in a panto production together, it turned out that Oliver was the one that got away as she never told him how she felt.
"I think I've experienced true love three times and one time I didn't even get to shag him,” she recently told the Sun Online .
"At the end of the panto show each night our characters would fall in love and marry.
"So every night he would go down on one knee and ask me to marry him. I got to marry him every night and every night he made my heart gallop and sing".
The presenter was adamant, however, that it was true love even though the romance never flourished.
Oliver went on to wed 30-year-old glamour model Rhian sugden, and hasn’t commented on Alison’s secret crush just yet.
Alison, who found fame on Big Brother , hasn’t had too much luck in the romance department despite trying to find her next beau on the Channel 4 show.
At the start of the month, Alison headed out on a date with Bobby Ray but her dinner partner didn’t seem too pleased about being there.
After the awkward interaction, Alison put an end to the evening and hinted as much as she could that there would be no second date. Bobby seemed keen to see her again though, leaving fans confused.
The final straw came when Alison went to say goodbye, and he stayed in his seat.
A few days ago, however, it seems like Alison’s luck might have just changed as she was spotted cuddling up to a mystery man and even holding his hand in public.
Viewers will have to wait and see how their adorable romance unfolds on the show.
