Alison Hammond spots David Cameron Christmas shopping and chases him round John Lewis

Alison Hammond spotted David Cameron doing his Christmas shopping in John Lewis during today's This Morning.

The presenter was next door to the studio in Westfield shopping centre when she saw the former Prime Minister.

Stunned This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford had to ask Alison to repeat herself as they were in disbelief.

Alison then ran off to find the former Prime Minister to ask when he would "get breakfast done" after doing her live link for the This Morning competition.

Speaking to the presenters, Alison said: "While I go inside and look for someone who just went in. Guess who I saw? David Cameron.

"I’m going to ask him if we can get breakfast done as I’m absolutely starving."

Eamonn wanted Alison to clarify that she had seen the former Prime Minister walking around Westfield.

She explained: "Yeah he was just like doing a bit of Christmas shopping. He was here. So I’m going to ask him if he can get breakfast done. I’m so hungry guys. So I’ll have a little word."

Even shocked Ruth admitted he was being "mean".
