Alison Hammond says 'I've arrived' as fans rush to show their support after dividing with new This Morning job

Alison Hammond declared to fans 'I've arrived' and was quickly flooded with support. The This Morning star decided to make her presence known on the new social media site Threads.

The Meta app, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram, was launched earlier this week and is works as a text-style format which encourages users to post updates and join public discourse, similar to Twitter.

And Alison, who has been quiet on her social media platforms ever since the scandal surrounding her former co-star Phillip Schofield broke back in May, decided to make her entrance on the app by posting a stunning snap.

The 48-year-old could be seen sporting a hot pink dress that flowed over her curves before finishing at her shins. To top off the all-pink look, she added a light pink blazer before accessorising with a statement necklace.

The photo had been taken in the This Morning studio last week after she and Dermot O'Leary were joined live in the studio by Amanda Hall, who has committed to being a full-time Barbie due to her incredible likeness to Margot Robbie who is taking the starring role in the upcoming Barbie film. She was joined via video link by Kitten Kay Sera who lives in her pink home in Hollywood and has only worn pink clothes for over 40 years.

"I've arrived," Alison posted on Threads alongside the Barbie-inspired image. Responding to the post, one fan said: "Lovely to see you over here." Another commented: "PRAISE BE!!! Let's go!!!" A third replied: "The Queen is in the building people, this is not a drill!"

"Not *this* is the Barbie I needed," a fourth posted. Another fan typed: "Absolutely blooming brilliant! You are such an awesome person and a welcomed relief on our TV!!" And a fan also said: "Yes! Yes you have! You gorgeous queen!!!"

It comes after Alison made her 'dream' cooking debut on This Morning. The presenter was back at the helm of the programme on Friday (July 7) as usual alongside co-host Dermot.

However, she wasn't just signed up for hosting duties today as she was also asked to step into the kitchen where she created her lasagne spaghetti recipe. Alison, 48, admitted that it has been a dream of hers to do a cookery demonstration on the programme and she couldn't believe she got to share her "Brummie bolognese" live on the ITV daytime show.

However, the former X Factor host couldn't help but burst out laughing when Alison mixed in her store-bought red and white sauce into the spaghetti, before she planned to add her own homemade one afterwards.

Dermot, 50, was seen hiding behind his napkin as the camera kept zooming in on the ingredients being mushed together in the dish by Alison. Amid his laughter, Dermot begged at one point: "Please, stop putting it on camera!" as Alison defended herself by saying: "Listen, it works, right! You're not going to see that bit till later!"

But it appeared that This Morning viewers couldn't believe what they were seeing and there were a few mentions of Italian chef Gino who has been cooking on the programme himself for many years. @GeorgiaBowring tweeted: "#ThisMorning God help Alison if Gino was watching this!"

@Mabel_Mouse_ commented: "@Ginofantastico is going to be swearing at the telly at this abomination #ThisMorning." @sugarcandy1 wrote: "Think I’ve lost my appetite after seeing that. #ThisMorning." @CarlTylerPS5 asked: "#thismorning is this a joke? Wtf is that!!?" @TraylorHolmes laughed: "I think Gino’s safe #ThisMorning."
