Alison Hammond's 'secret heartache' amid quest for 'romance and more children'

Alison Hammond is reportedly on the hunt for romance and even hasn't ruled out expanding her family in the future.

The 46-year-old This Morning star, who is already a mum to 16-year-old Aidan, is said to have even been encouraged by pals to try her hand at dating apps amid hopes of finding her perfect partner.

According to Closer, the television personality is enjoying all the success that comes with her incredible telly career but is now ready to find someone to share her life with.

An insider speaking to the publication even suggested that she has hopes of building a 'family set-up' and would love more kids. The remarks come months after the star suggested that she would be open to adopting a child in the future.

"Everything in Alison's life is going great - she's incredibly successful and loves her job and her son. But she's feeling an underlying sadness about not having a partner to share it all with," a source told the publication.

"She's a positive person, but deep down all she wants is to find romance. She'd also love more kids. She's always imagined herself having a family set-up and she feels like having a partner now would make her feel more complete."

Alison, who previously starred on Celebs Go Dating, has been open in the past about looking for love and even revealed that she has sworn off dating apps for now.

Speaking to Notebook magazine earlier this year, Alison revealed: "Right now, being single is the worst but dating in lockdown is not my thing."

"I’ve been there and done it," she said about dating apps. "I’ve had a boyfriend from a dating app and I’m really not into them anymore.

She added: "I’d rather meet someone naturally. Right now, being single is the worst but dating in lockdown is not my thing."

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, she hinted that she would be open to the idea of adopting a child in the future because she has so much love to give.

"I would totally consider adoption in the future. I’ve got so much more love to give – I don’t think I’m done with one child, I’m just not," she told the publication.

Alison's success has continued to soar after she landed a spot on This Morning alongside Dermott O'Leary. The television duo replaced Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford and now present the Friday morning slot on the ITV show.

Since starting the roles in January, the pair have reportedly seen ratings go up on the Friday show and received heaps of praise from viewers.
