Alison Hammond named best TV presenter of 2020 as fans threaten to boycott This Morning

Alison Hammond has been handed a prestigious TV Award as she prepares to take over from This Morning’s Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.

The 45-year-old star has been named the TV and Radio presenter of the year in Heat Magazine's Unmissable Awards.

The bubbly television personality, who is known for her infectious personality and cheerful presenting skills, is over the moon with the title.

Alison, who beat her This Morning co-host Dermot O'Leary and Ant and Dec to the top spot, told the publication that the award "means a lot" to her.

The much-loved star gushed over her gong when she said: "Oh my goodness!

"Thank you so much. This means a lot to me. I know exactly where it’s going to go – in my downstairs toilet where all my hundreds of awards are," she joked.
