Alison Hammond lets slip Line Of Duty spoiler as she confirms 'H' will be on This Morning

Alison Hammond appeared to let slip that Line of Duty's 'H' will get found out in the long-anticipated series six finale on Sunday.

The TV presenter, 54, ended Friday's segment of This Morning by telling fans that the mystery character will be "on the sofa" on Monday, as fans patiently wait to find out who the fourth person is.

Setting the record straight, Alison joked that she did not mean H from Steps.

"After Line Of Duty's Sunday night show we're going to have H on the sofa - and it's not H from Steps," the TV personality explained.

Sitting beside her, co-star Dermot O'Leary let out a squeal of excitement as Alison mentioned the hit BBC1 drama.

There are still several suspects who could be H, including the likes of DCS Patricia Carmichael, DCI Marcus Thurwell and CC Philip Osborne.

Detective Mark Williams-Thomas spoke to The Mirror about who it could possibly be, explaining his reasons why.

He said about Osborne: “There’s no doubt he’s a bent copper and he’s risen through the ranks and been protected until he got to the top. He’s totally corrupt, totally wrong. He’s got links to organised crime. He’s got links to corruption – particularly with the murder of Lawrence Christopher.

"He’s in my top three suspects. However, he’s risen through the ranks and I think H has been towards the top from the start."

On Thurwell, he added: “He’s in my top three. Is he dead? Or was it a stooge and set up in order for him to have an alibi and get away? He’s the perfect person. He’s in the perfect location to be running organised crime.

“Of course, we’ve got the link between the IP address linking back to Spain but he’s clever and wouldn’t leave behind a trail like that. Thurwell slightly pips it over Osborne for me.”

Meanwhile, Craig Parkinson has predicted that the finale is going to "break hearts" among the show's legions of viewers.

The 45-year-old actor played one of the most infamous characters in the show's history, being the OCG (Organised Criminal Gangs) 'Caddy' Matthew 'Dot' Cottan, who was the link between criminals and corrupt police officers in the show.

He said on Sky podcast Backstage: "I'm so proud of the guys for going back after the break, getting it done without any illness and delivering one of the iconic great British dramas that we've produced in the past few years. "

"Talk about timing, we all need AC-12 in our life right now, albeit I'm sure they're going to break some hearts at some point."
