This Morning host Alison Hammond was left red-faced during a chat with The Masked Singer's Heather Small on Tuesday's show.
Alison and her co-host Dermot O'Leary invited Heather onto the ITV programme via video link to discuss her time on the 2022 series of the signing show.
As they chatted about how Heather disguised her distinctive singing voice while performing as Chandelier, Alison made a rather awkward comment about Heather being voted off in week one.
"I think that's the perfect job, you get a job, you get kicked off the first week, result! Get paid, see you later!" she said laughing.
"I have an issue with the words 'kicked off' Alison," Heather replied, as Alison was heard saying: "Awks!"
"You still get paid, you're right about that! But I think for me what it was is, it was that element of surprise and family entertainment.
"And also, I chose some songs that people wouldn't associate me with and that was a thing that I didn't get to sing as many songs as I would have liked."
When the chat came to an end, Dermot turned to Alison and said: "I thought you turned that round really well by the way, after you told her she got kicked off the show!
"I know, it's all about the money!" Alison replied giggling. "Thank you, I like Heather Small."
"I know you do!" Dermot then added as he referred to Alison telling her how much she loves her.
As Alison turned to the camera, she suddenly realised that Heather was still on the line.
"Oh she's still there! Hello Heather! Oh this is awkward!" she lauughed.
"Jesus, hang up Heather!" father-of-one Dermot chimed in.
"I thought you had gone, I thought you'd put the phone down!" Alison added, looking a little bit embarrassed.
"You've still got me here! Good job you were nice!" Heather replied as Alison then said: "We love you Heather, bye!"
