Alison Hammond leaves This Morning viewers in stitches after hilarious cooking segment

This Morning viewers were left in stitches today after Alison Hammond's hilarious cooking segment.

During today's instalment of the hit ITV daytime show, Alison took to the kitchen to share her delicious chocolate brownie recipe that she prepared on The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

However, not everything quite went according to plan, which left fans in hysterics.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were in tears when Alison's mixture went very dry as she forgot a crucial ingredient, the Mirror Online reports.

Stumped Alison said: "It's a little bit dry. It's not normally. It keeps getting stuck."

When Holly asked if she had put the eggs in, Alison said: "It is a bit dry but don't worry you just need to go with the flow."

Holly joked: "I still feel like you're doing this in your kitchen and you're pretending to be on TV."

When Phillip told Alison she only had a few seconds left, she told him to "chill out, babes".

This came after they watched a preview clip from tonight's Bake Off, which saw Alison thinking she'd lost the oven door.

Alison had no idea that the door could slide underneath the oven - but Holly pointed out the ovens in the studio did the same thing.

Alison confessed: "I was genuinely like 'where's the door gone?' I'm a cluts. I thought 'I've broken the door on Bake Off'. I've never seen anything like that before."

This Morning viewers were left in tears and took to Twitter after watching the hilarious segment.

One fan said: "Alison Hammond cooking brownies on This Morning- TV GOLD! Just no words apart from Thank You"

"I have actual tears watching Alison trying to cook, can we have her cook more often please @thismorning," asked another.

A third agreed: "I think Alison Hammond should have her own TV Show-she's such a delight to our screen. She's always so cheery, so funny, so relaxed..."

"I generally love @AlisonHammond one of the most hilarious people on the tv. Please make food on this morning everyday, this is generally pure gold," said a fourth.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
